[ Her reaction is enough for him to transition the feed to video. ]
The Starscream from your world?? Why would I mention that Pit-slagged piece of dross for anything other than wishing he were dull enough to step outside Maccadam's where he could be dealt with properly?
[ And preferably over and over, until the space bridge was tired of spitting him back out. ]
Yes, I mean the dark-faced one, your Brigade Leader. The one whose command you've taken to? Slipstream, what is going on?
[ Starscream just stares at her across the screen for a moment, replaying the cryptic text that he received not so long ago: Fine. You win.
He hadn't understood what the reference was about, and he hadn't really cared in the moment, still simmering over their explosive last exchange. ]
It is not a joke, nor is it funny. I believe you are being truthful, but something... is affecting your memory. I think it better if we saw you to a medic.
[ Then as if anticipating rebuttal, he adds: ]
If there is nothing wrong, then we will go flying afterward. Fair?
[ Starscream heads there himself and immediately snags Knock Out for the task. Better the devil that you know, and all of that. The red medic looks a little skeptical since Starscream doesn't give him any kind of context, but agrees to run the test. ]
This shouldn't take but a few minutes, General. How long have you been having memory issues?
[ Knock Out hooks up the diagnostic tools he needs and initiates the scan. Starscream stands nearby with his arms folded, but not saying much. Sensing Slipstream's worry however, he does brush her field with a projected bit of calm. He may not know what is going on but whatever it is, he doesn't consider it her fault. After a few minutes Knock Out gets the readings. ]
Well... I don't see any synapse circuit degradation, processor stripping or memory node microfractures. Nothing physical which would indicate any kind of localized corruption of memories or recall protocols. There's a slightly elevated level of energy readings in some transcript cortexes, but not dangerously so.
[ Starscream looks unimpressed with the medical jargon. ]
[She says hopefully despite knowing that nothing has actually been solved. Starscream seems pretty certain that something is, and she trusts his judgment for the most part.]

I... I haven't been under anyone's command but yours since I got here!
Is this a joke? It's not a very funny one.

[It's obvious! Just see it!]
I'll meet you at the medbay?

I... don't know? I didn't even think I had memory issues until just now!

Maybe it's magical?
[She asks without really understanding why.]
no subject
Magical how? You mean the thing which gave you the enhanced strength?
no subject
And my increased frame size was done by magical means too! I don't know how possible it'd be otherwise.

Be careful around magical artifacts and mystic nonsense, Slipstream. I have never seen it end in any way but poorly.
[ Honestly, he really wants to just order her not to do anything like that again. ]
